This works but the only problem is that it looks to be pretty slow because it has to load the object into memory first and then upload it to your S3 bucket. I think a better way to do it would be a direct bucket to bucket transfer directly on s3 using the .copy method as seen here: https://boto3.amazonaws.com/v1/documentation/api/latest/reference/services/s3.html#S3.Bucket.copy

Minsk, Belarus

I spent a week during the end of August in Minsk with no expectations. Travelling like this — everything feels novel, new and interesting. My apartment was close to downtown and the city is very walkable, has a subway and even Uber. I joined a nautically-themed gym named Moby Dick and frequented “Surf Coffee” — a small coffee shop themed after a surf shop. I...

Thanksgiving Side Dishes & Wine Pairings

    0
Thanksgiving is a foodie’s dream holiday.  Well, one of the most notable food holidays of the year anyway. Yes, we love turkey day, but it’s really all about the sides, isn’t it? Every year, I look forward to the many side dishes that surround my slices of turkey as well as the other critical must-haves: stretchy... Riga, Latvia

I was in Riga for a week. I was busy with work but really enjoyed the architecture. It’s a beautiful, peaceful city that made for a great visit. The highlight was one day exiting a café I was working from to have an old friend message me on my phone — “Reid did I just see you leave Rocket Bean Roastery here in Riga?” My...

Krakow and Warsaw, Poland

    0
I spent a week in Krakow and a week in Warsaw working and exploring Poland for the first time. Somewhat surprisingly, after hearing many people tell me I would prefer historic Krakow to a “bland” Warsaw, I actually enjoyed Warsaw more. Krakow is the city that wasn’t destroyed during World War 2 and so all of the old, historic architecture is still in place. And...

I Don’t Complain Anymore

I used to include just a single affirmation, “Every day in every way, I am getting better and better,” in my morning routine. Over the years, this has blossomed into several paragraphs describing how I show up, multiple Bible verses about my faith, a few lines of poetry about my new city, and a 6-page slide deck vision board about my future. (I might be...

Space Grey Society

A tale of technology“T-twenty-four,” Astra said in a shy, slightly trembling voice. She was holding her hand around her upper arm, squeezing it after answering the question,. She looked down towards the ugly light green desk in front of her, witnessing a disarray of various documents and forms. His name was Cosmo. A tall man in his maybe mid-twenties, maybe mid-thirties, maybe mid-forties, kind of ageless looking,...

Moving to a New City is Easy

Lol just kidding. It’s terrible and hard.BUT. There’s a reason the city you're in now isn’t doing it for you. And chances are you don’t feel like trying to make it work there anymore. Or maybe you just want to see new places, meet different people, see the real affects of culture and lifestyle on your joy and contentment.I moved to Los Angeles because I...

Dear 2020 Self…

Dear 2020 Self, Watch out, we’re comin’ in hot. Yep, you better believe it, and next year you’ll have everything you’ve ever wanted, including a big love. I’d bet my favorite R&B mix CD on it.  And yes, that’s a big, bold, badass statement that I just made, but I wouldn’t say it if it... The post Dear 2020 Self… appeared first on Pairs Well...
