Finally in the Land of Smiles!


Thailand has pretty much been my heaven for the last 10 days (and has been at the top of my list for quite some time). As soon as we landed and walked out of the airport, I felt warmth and sun and with it, a version of myself I hadn’t seen in months. I have felt lighter and more carefree, and I smile and laugh with ease. It’s easier to get out of bed in the morning, it’s easier to get dressed and walk out the door, AND I feel like working out first thing! Feeling a lot like my mom.

Here are some of my first impressions of this country:

While I was intrigued by life in Japan and enjoyed many aspects of it, I don’t think we could be in a place less like it right now. Remember when I was frustrated by pedestrians in Kyoto waiting for the light to change, even when there were no cars around?
